As a traditional beach resort, Hyères will take you through the Belle Époque
Since the 19th century, Hyères is a very popular beach resort of the Côte d’Azur. At the time, a great number of celebrities spent the winter here. The town even welcomed Queen Victoria. The town has preserved prosperous-looking buildings from this period, as well as botanic gardens, wide avenues with palm trees and a quaint charm. The medieval centre, with a lace of alleyways running over the sloping hill, is ideal for a stroll.
